Clínica de Preparo Bucal: Indispensável para o Tratamento de Pacientes Parcialmente Desdentados

O preparo bucal visa a melhorar o estado geral da saúde bucal,
tanto no que se refere aos tecidos moles como aos tecidos duros que
sustentarão as futuras próteses removíveis. As próteses parciais removíveis
(PPRs) são aparelhos protéticos que têm por finalidade substituir funcional e
esteticamente os dentes naturais ausentes em pacientes parcialmente dentados.
Este trabalho tem o objetivo de, através de uma revisão da literatura,
demonstrar a importância do preparo bucal antes da confecção das próteses
parciais removíveis, proporcionando longevidade às próteses removíveis e
saúde bucal ao paciente. Concluiu-se que o preparo bucal é de fundamental
importância para se ter sucesso no tratamento protético.
