O estresse ocupacional e os docentes de enfermagem

Os professores universitários compõem um conjunto de trabalhadores identificados como susceptíveis ao estresse.
Os objetivos foram estimar o nível de risco de adoecer por estresse nos docentes; discutir o estresse ocupacional nos
docentes de enfermagem, na perspectiva da saúde do trabalhador. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com abordagem
quantitativa, participaram 29 docentes de enfermagem de uma universidade pública. Os resultados obtidos em relação
ao estresse autorreferido, 19 docentes se disseram estressados; dentre esses, sete (37,0%) se classificaram com nível
elevado e seis (32,0%) com nível moderado. Quanto ao risco, 10 (34,0%) apresentaram nível baixo de adoecer por
estresse. Concluiu-se que o nível de risco de adoecer por estresse num futuro imediato é baixo, à medida que
podem buscar mecanismos de defesa em relação aos agentes estressores, tanto no âmbito pessoal como profissional.
