Nursing interventions in the prevention of pressure injury in hospitalized patients

The nurse is assigned the care of injuries, this professional can perform nursing consultation, prescribe and perform dressing, coordinate and supervise the nursing team in the prevention and care of wounds and in the daily record of the evolution of the wound, among other specific attributions. The present study has as general objective to investigate, through a literature review, the performance of nursing interventions in the prevention of pressure injury. A qualitative exploratory research was carried out, of integrative bibliographic search looking for familiarity with the problem. The refinement criteria used were: after using with full-text identifier were found 743, text in Portuguese 183, be scientific article 148, time frame from 2018 to 2023, remained 68, then Directed the filter Subject of relevance Nursing care prioritizing nursing safety remained 23, and in the end remained 15 articles, due to 04 articles being repeated in the databases and the others for not being related to the main theme, being child and primary care. With the following descriptors: Skin care of bedridden patients, prevention of pressure injury, nursing care. The articles were selected from those that were available in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) in the BDENF and LILACS databases. It is concluded that nursing care is fundamental for the non-development of pressure injuries and for the improvement of the health and well-being of bedridden patients.
