Abstract

Evidências científicas têm mostrado que a Espiritualidade é um importante aspecto na vida das pessoas afetando suas decisões e desfechos de saúde. Atualmente o conceito de saúde abrange a dimensão espiritual do ser humano, o que tem despertado um crescente interesse na comunidade acadêmica e na população em geral.

O I Congresso Interinstitucional de Espiritualidade em Saúde, reuniu pesquisadores de grandes Universidades Brasileiras, como UESB - Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia, UV – Universidade de Vassouras, USP – Universidade de São Paulo, UFBA - Universidade Federal da Bahia, UFF - Universidade Federal Fluminense, UFRJ – Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFSJ – Universidade Federal de São João Del-Rei e UERJ – Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro e ofereceu uma programação multidisciplinar, abrangendo aspectos éticos e bioéticos da investigação científica acerca da espiritualidade em saúde, sua prática clínica, desenhos metodológicos de pesquisa e ensino na área.

O evento integrou os membros da Rede de Pesquisa em Espiritualidade e Saúde - RPES, difundiu o conhecimento produzido, além de fomentar a produção de novos conhecimentos e práticas sobre o tema, atualizando pesquisadores, professores, estudantes, profissionais de saúde de áreas afins e interessados.
