Scientific publication in nursing

This reflection article aims to analyze scientific publishing in nursing in the context of its challenges and possibilities. Its proposal is to carry out a reflective analysis with a qualitative, descriptive approach with a view to substantiating relevant aspects of scientific publication in nursing, contextualized in important strategies in the face of its multiple challenges, but with opportunities for possibilities that help to think about scientific publication for those who intend to publish, but also to journal editors in view of the discussions held at the last Editors' Forum held at the 74th Brazilian Nursing Congress, in Rio de Janeiro by the National Brazilian Nursing Association (ABEN) in November 2023. The reflections are based on the following aspects discussion: editorial policy for publication quality and transparency; new perspectives on the Sustainable Development Goals and, Diversity, Equity, Equality and Accessibility in scientific publishing. Understanding the theme as relevant to nursing regarding the challenges faced by authors and journal editors in the scientific publishing and publishing process, these aspects are relevant and also refer to multiple possibilities for scientific writing on the manuscripts that are received in the submission of research manuscripts in the area of nursing.
