Systemic Arterial Hypertension (SAH) is a Noncommunicable Chronic Disease (NCD) with a high prevalence rate in Brazil and lacks clear symptoms and signs. It is important to identify and manage these conditions in patients during dental care due to the possible side effects of medications and the risk of complications during treatment. Detailed anamnesis for hypertensive patients and an appropriate protocol in cases of hypertensive crisis during dental treatment are necessary. This study evaluated dental records, revealing a significant prevalence of hypertension, especially in women, highlighting the importance of awareness and monitoring of systemic health during dental practice. However, some limitations were found, such as the small sample size and the need to improve clinical documentation.
