Abstract

Objective: to analyze studies relating to monitoring the health conditions of beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família Program (PBF) through Primary Health Care (PHC) with the aim of identifying possible difficulties that make it impossible to monitor the PBF's health conditions. Methods: integrative review of articles using the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), SCOPUS, Web of Science, Academic Search Premier and Embase databases. Through the Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), the databases used were two: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) and the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), through National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health (PubMed). The inclusion criteria were articles obtained in full, from the last 10 years and in any language. Results: The challenges imposed on PBF beneficiaries identified in the review were: Difficulties in accessing health services, shortage of professionals and professional qualifications and lack of knowledge of health conditions. Final considerations: Despite the challenges imposed, the PBF has enormous potential for social transformation, through continuous investments in territorial improvements and adaptations, associated with evaluation and monitoring processes, it is believed that it is possible to create strategies to expand the reach of positive results of the PBF program.
