Authors

Abstract

Objective: To map the characteristics of Near miss in adults in Primary Health Care. Methods: The scoping review protocol was developed based on the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) method and the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Studies published from 2000 onwards, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, addressing Near miss in Primary Health Care will be included. The search strategy was built from a preliminary search to identify keywords and specific terms. The selected databases include MEDLINE (PubMed), SCOPUS, EMBASE (Elsevier), LILACS, BDENF (BVS), and SCIELO (Bireme). The study selection will be conducted by two independent and blinded reviewers, with disagreements resolved by a third reviewer. The EndNote Web 21 software will be used for duplicate removal, while Rayyan will assist in screening and abstract analysis. Expected Results: The scoping review will identify, catalog, and describe the characteristics of Near miss in Primary Health Care. The results will be analyzed and synthesized narratively, with findings presented through charts, flowcharts, tables, and figures. Additionally, an instructional booklet will be developed, based on scientific evidence, containing practical recommendations and strategies aimed at risk mitigation, with the goal of promoting patient safety and improving care practices at this level of healthcare.
