Odontologia estética: integração entre dentística e periodontia para fechamento de diastemas dentais

Abstract

O tratamento restaurador estético deve restabelecer a função mastigatória, além de proporcionar um sorriso agradável. Um planejamento restaurador multidisciplinar favorece a obtenção de um resultado clínico mais satisfatório. Este trabalho tem por objetivo relatar, através de um caso clínico, a integração das especialidades de Dentística e Periodontia, possibilitando a realização dos procedimentos de correção do contorno gengival, clareamento dental e fechamento de diastemas dentais com resina composta nos dentes anteriores superiores. Inicialmente realizou-se uma gengivectomia para correção do contorno gengival dos dentes anteriores superiores de canino a canino e após 60 dias procedeu-se ao clareamento dental dos arcos superior e inferior durante 21 dias. Aguardou-se sete dias após a finalização do clareamento dental e procedeu-se o fechamento dos diastemas dentais dos dentes 12,11,21 e 22 com resina composta microhíbrida Vênus (Heraeus). Decorridos sete dias, realizou-se o polimento dos dentes e após quatro meses um acompanhamento clínico foi realizado, observando uma finalização estética com excelência e saúde periodontal.
