Análise quantitativa e qualitativa de microrganismos em escovas dentais dos alunos da Associação Pestalozzi de Vassouras/RJ

Abstract

Além da importância de hábitos de higiene bucal é necessário também o armazenamento adequado da escova dental para que não ocorra a proliferação de microrganismos nas cerdas. O objetivo deste projeto será isolar, quantificar e identificar as espécies de microrganismos presentes nas escovas dentais dos alunos da Associação Pestalozzi de Vassouras/RJ. Serão analisadas as escovas de 37 alunos portadores de deficiência física ou mental entre 8 e 54 anos de idade. As escovas serão trocadas por outras novas em 5 grupos de 6 e 1 grupo de 7 com um intervalo de 7 dias cada grupo. As coletas serão feitas com swabs estéreis previamente umedecidos em água destilada sendo, em seguida, rotacionados sobre a superfície das cerdas das escovas e colocados num tubo contendo água destilada estéril. No laboratório, as amostras serão semeadas em ágar sangue e ágar McConkey, incubadas em uma estufa a 37°C por 24-48 horas. O meio de cultura utilizado será o de Miller- Hinter. Após constatado o crescimento das colônias será observado as características das mesmas. A análise estatística utilizada será a Kruskal- Wallis.
