Abstract

enfermagem ao longo de sua história tem sofrido modificações na dimensão do seu processo de trabalho. Portanto, o modo como é realizado o trabalho de enfermagem no complexo específico da assistência domiciliária é bastante abrangente, devido envolver as ações de cuidar, administrar e educar. Assim, este estudo tem como objetivo abordar o papel do profissional enfermeiro na assistência domiciliar em saúde bem como suas principais atribuições e as dificuldades na atuação desse serviço. Este é um estudo do tipo exploratório-descritivo sobre o tema: A Atuação do Enfermeiro na Assistência Domiciliar (home care). Confirmando que a prática assistencial de atenção no domicílio pode ser considerada uma alternativa valiosa na redução da demanda hospitalar, redução de custos, humanização da assistência, diminuição de riscos e ainda um novo campo profissional para os enfermeiros.
