Sobre la revista
Scope & Mission
Pró-univerSuS (R. Pró-Uni. ISSN: 2179-8931) has the social and institutional commitment to share results of research and disruptive experiences related to education, extension projects and health practices, related to the objectives of the Pró-Saúde Program both in Brazil and abroad. Mainly, we seek to strengthen scientific production by making available high quality technical-scientific material.
We emphasize the obligation to present all documents issued by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), as those are essential for any work involving human beings. In the case of research involving animals, it is necessary to send documentation from the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals (CEUA). The Free and Informed Consent Form (TCLE) must also be attached.
We also emphasize that for clinical trial studies, authors must access the website https://www.ensaiosclinicos.gov.br and register the research. This information must be passed on to the Journal upon submission.
Peer Review Process
Pró-UniverSUS (R. Pró-Uni.) works with an evaluation policy based on the Double-Blind Peer Review principle. Therefore, the evaluations are carried out without the evaluators knowing who the authors are and vice-versa.
All manuscripts undergo 2 (two) evaluations and, if there are disagreements between the two evaluators in the final evaluation, the journal reserves the right to send it to a third evaluator to obtain another opinion.
If the submission receives 2 (two) negative opinions, the manuscript will be rejected and archived.

History of the Journal
Pró-UniverSUS was created in 2010 by Universidade Severino Sombra, now the Universidade de Vassouras, with the social and institutional commitment to disseminate research results and innovative teaching and extension experiences related to the objectives of Pró-Saúde.
Building a connection between educational institutions and the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) has been a constant challenge for those involved in health and education in Brazil. In this sense, the Nursing and Dentistry Courses at the Universidade de Vassouras, which are part of Pró-Saúde, have been developing strategies for integrating teaching and health services, strengthening relationships already built with the Health Services Network of the city of Vassouras.
The Journal publishes original research articles, literature reviews, experience reports, preliminary notes, technical notes, scope reviews, postgraduate papers and professional master's products.
It has a quarterly publication frequency, starting in May 2024 and, since its foundation, it evaluates submissions through the principles of double blind peer review and publishes articles under the principle of open access. We are available through the following databases: Sumários.org, ICAP, REDIB, OAI (Open Archives Initiative), Google Scholar, CrossRef and DOI.
