Gengivectomia com finalidade estética: relato de caso
Resumen
A crescente busca por uma estética favorável tem levado cada vez mais pessoas aos consultórios odontológicos interessados em promover melhoria em seu sorriso. Para que um sorriso seja considerado satisfatório é necessário que haja harmonia entre lábios, dentes e gengiva. O sorriso gengival é desarmônico e ocorre quando há uma exposição excessiva de gengiva, sendo uma queixa comum para grande parte dos pacientes, pois exerce influência negativa sob a sua vida pessoal, profissional e social. Este estudo teve por objetivo descrever as etapas de uma cirurgia gengival ressectiva estética (gengivectomia), por meio de um relato de caso clínico, onde a paciente, portadora de sorriso gengival, queixava-se de sua aparência. Três semanas após a realização da cirurgia, o resultado foi um sorriso bem harmônico, que proporcionou uma estética favorável e satisfação à paciente.Descargas
