Introduction: The health work processes established in chemotherapy outpatient clinics tend to be easily captured by technical skills and procedures, given the characteristics of the nature of the care to be produced. However, it is necessary to consider subjective aspects of work. Objective: To analyze the work processes of the nursing team of an oncology outpatient clinic using the method of instruction to the double, using on-line resources, due to the covid-19 pandemic. Method: Research-Intervention, of qualitative approach, developed with the nursing team of a chemotherapy outpatient clinic in a university hospital. Results: the work on chemotherapy is very focused on the technique, and tends to be captured by procedures. However, the look at the daily activity, made to see the complexity of the daily life of the service. Discussion: The dimensions of the work processes of the outpatient clinic cross the work protocols, giving little space to reflections on changes that need to happen in the daily routine of the outpatient clinic. Final considerations: The method of instruction to the double constitutes a resource for the nursing team to work on dimensions of daily life and to envision the operationalization of changes in health work processes.
