In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, students and teachers experienced significant challenges in the teaching-learning process. The interruption of in-person classes and the need to continue with pre-scheduled courses led to the immediate adoption of alternative teaching methods, particularly the use of online digital tools. This study aimed to investigate the experience of emergency remote teaching in undergraduate Nursing education as a result of the pandemic. It is a descriptive, qualitative research conducted through interviews with ten students from a private Higher Education Institution located in the municipality of João Pessoa, PB. Based on data analysis using the Thematic Content Analysis technique, the following categories were identified: Nursing students' experiences during the pandemic and Challenges of emergency remote teaching. It was found that most participants faced difficulties in the teaching-learning process due to the need to adapt to the new teaching strategy, factors inherent to the home environment, difficulties in study routines, the scenario of uncertainties regarding course completion without practical activities, as well as the lack of interaction and social engagement. This research contributes to understanding students' experiences related to remote teaching and its impact on the teaching-learning process during the pandemic. It also broadens the discussion on the topic in educational institutions, encouraging the use of different strategies and methodologies that promote student protagonism in the learning process, fostering critical and reflective thinking.
